If you are reading this page, chances are you are already using the technique or are thinking about using it soon.
The Pomodoro Technique® is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo about 30 years ago. The basic concept is that working in short bursts of 25 minutes, separated by 5 minutes breaks, boosts our productivity helping us to overcome procrastination and increase concentration.
What to do during these breaks? Here are some suggestions that I have come up with or collected while surfing the Web:
Always: move away from that screen. During the 5 minutes break we have to give our mind some rest so the basic rule is refrain from doing mind-intensive activities. Pomodoro breaks are also a good time for art, which stimulates your subconscious.
